One local preference. No tracking cookies.
WaterEngineerLab does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not ask you to create an account. The notice at the bottom of the page is about browser storage on this device.
What the public pages write
Choosing “Got it” stores one entry in this browser’s local storage. The key is waterengineerlab.cookie-consent and the value is dismissed. That entry only keeps the notice closed. It is not tied to a name, a project, or an advertising profile.
What released tools do not write
Released calculators run from the values you type on the page. They do not save catchment data, pipe sizes, pressures, or other engineering inputs in cookies or local storage. Switching SI and US units changes the values shown in the form for that visit. Leaving the page clears those unsaved inputs.
The client code includes a project repository that can store a named project, scenario, or tool run under the prefix waterengineerlab:v1. No released tool page calls that repository, so a normal visit does not create those entries.
Project files you export
Where a tool offers export, the file is a download you choose to keep. It is not written as a cookie and it is not sent to WaterEngineerLab as a saved design.
How to remove the preference
Clear site data, or local storage, for this site in the browser. The notice returns on the next visit. Clearing site data also removes any future entries under waterengineerlab:v1.
Request logs
A hosting provider may keep ordinary request logs, such as a page address and time, under its own operations policy. Those logs are not a copy of your calculation inputs. The privacy page states the same boundary.
