A result is not a design approval.
WaterEngineerLab helps you calculate and review early hydraulic, stormwater, and water-system questions. The output is only as applicable as the method and the inputs you supply.
Preliminary scope
Released tools are limited to the relationship described on that tool’s page. A peak-flow estimate is not a pipe design. A friction-loss check is not a network model. A scenario comparison uses the metrics you enter. Read the assumptions and warnings on the page before carrying a value forward.
What the site does not do
- It does not select rainfall, coefficients, or design criteria for your jurisdiction.
- It does not replace field survey, as-built information, or a complete hydraulic model.
- It does not determine permit compliance or provide a sealed engineering opinion.
- Worked examples demonstrate arithmetic. They are not recommended defaults.
Professional judgment
The person responsible for the project must decide whether a method applies, whether the inputs are appropriate, and whether further analysis is required. If the decision needs a coupled system model, a regulatory determination, or a signed design, continue in that workflow.
The same boundary is summarized under limitations and in the terms of use. Method notes for a specific calculator stay on that tool’s page. Questions about this notice can be sent to contact@waterengineerlab.com. That address does not provide a sealed engineering opinion.
